Southwest Regional Medical Center Partners with Waynesburg University Nursing ProgramFebruary 2, 2015
This spring, Waynesburg University students will be conducting health and wellness education in the second floor lobby of Southwest Regional Medical Center. This free health education is being offered to provide valuable health education and information to community members and employees of the hospital. The education will focus on prevalent health conditions such as heart health, lung health and healthy eating.
Students will be available from 8:30 am until noon on each of the days noted on the attached chart. Education will take place in the second floor lobby of Washington Health System Greene.
The students are seniors enrolled in Clinical Prevention and Population Health, instructed by Melany D. Chrash, MSN, APN-BC, PHCNS-BC, PN.
“This program allows our students to put their education to use by providing benefit to the community,” shared Chrash.
Each week will have a particular focus and set of students to present the information. They will have educational displays, information and be available to answer questions. Anyone wishing to stop by and talk with them can do so during the noted times.
