Volunteers
A Spirit of Giving
The Auxiliary of Washington Health System Greene volunteers are a vital and integral part of our hospital. Volunteers have the opportunity to provide a variety of services that enhance the quality care our patients and visitors expect. Volunteer opportunities exist for those 14 years of age and older. The following opportunities to serve are available.
ESCORT
As an Escort, you are asked to transport patients to designated departments for testing, deliver newspapers, mail and flowers to patients and transport discharged patients to their vehicles. Escorts also deliver materials throughout the hospital and give directions to visitors.
LOBBY SHOP VOLUNTEER
As a Lobby Shop Volunteer, you will wait on customers, restock and straighten shelves and give directions to visitors when asked.
JUNIOR VOLUNTEER
As a Junior Volunteer you will have the opportunity to experience different departments throughout Washington Health System Greene. The Junior Volunteer program is designed for students between the ages of 14 and college age. Students spend the summer rotating through different departments, while being mentored by our current escorts. You can download the application by clicking here.
CHEERY DOOR VOLUNTEER
