If you need to have surgery, why go anywhere else? The surgeons at Southwest Regional Medical Center perform many of the same minimally invasive procedures right here in Waynesburg. In addition, our operating room is equipped with a lot of the state-of-the-art equipment that you would find in larger city hospitals. As a community hospital we strive to treat each patient as if they are a member of our own family. Our surgical staff is proud of the fact that our surgical infection rate was less than 1% in 2011. This is significantly lower than the national average.
Most surgeries will allow you to visit our Short Term Procedure Unit. This unit is available for procedures which allow you to go home the same day, but if you are having a surgery that requires you to stay overnight, we you will be pleased with the accommodations offered by our fifth floor surgical center. This center has been renovated to offer amenities to facilitate a quick, comfortable and convenient recovery. It includes luxurious accommodations with modern décor, flat screen televisions, reclining chairs and comfortable areas for your family to relax. Our caring staff is dedicated to ensuring your comfort and returning you back home as soon as possible.
